I have something crazy to say. This is the best song that’s come out all year. I don’t even remember hearing any other music before this. Anyone that has spent any time at all with me will tell you how I can’t get it out of my head. I hum this beat incessantly, it’s all that exists in my brain anymore. It’s taken over. Pieces of a Dream is the best song of 2024. Quote me.
But really though, I always enjoy anything that MIKE puts out and this is no different. Made by DJ blackpower (MIKE’s producer alias) this beat is absolutely phenomenal. It’s so feel-good while also containing this healing power to it. Then to be merged with this flow that is effortless without being lazy.
MIKE is one of those artists who just comes off effortlessly good at what he does. His style has definitely shifted some but this remains the same. I always enjoy what he has to say, musically and otherwise.
